The dust removal works well too, though you may need to apply it a second time if you do a lot of contrast enhancement work that brings out some more that was missed the first time around. The new power line removal tool is uncannily good, even in city streets where the lines run across buildings and stonework. The AI Sky Replacement tool never ceases to amaze, and for the most part it blends new skies with existing images with no visible edge effects or artefacts – though sometimes you can get a ‘glow’ effect around foreground objects. Some of Luminar Neo’s AI tools are quite remarkable.

Overall, inPixio Photo Studio 11 is a comprehensive piece of software with some great improvements over the previous version for a good price.We threw everything at this image (obviously), but while Luminar's AI can do the heavy lifting with special effects, you still need a clear idea about the image you want to achieve (unlike us). Complicated patterns such as a landscape with lots of rock and tree detail can prove to be difficult for the object removal tool and some tidying up is needed when using the background removal tool but as it does the majority of the work for you, the process is still quick and straightforward. The AI-based and one-click tools are great as are the new tools which remove backgrounds, add new sky and erase distracting objects with ease.
One of the main cons we had with version 10 was that editing, erasing and photomontage tools were all in different interfaces but now, inPixio has put them into an all-in-one workspace which speeds up workflow and makes the software even easier to use.īeginners will find inPixio Photo Studio 11 easy to navigate and use but this doesn't mean the more advanced photo editor shouldn't use the software as with things like RAW editing and the option to use a more advanced workspace with access to all editing tools makes it accessible to all.
